Berhampore 2017

2017 brings so many new chapters for me. One major change has been moving back to Berhampore! I'm currently living with 3 other photographers, one being my partner Tom and the other two people are Sam and Leroy, another couple who we met through The Photo School and mutual friends. It's pretty cool living with other creative people. We always have others to bounce ideas off and Leroy is always good for the technical stuff that we tend to lack knowledge in!

We have a massive field right outside our house and the other night 3 of us got a camera out and took ridiculous photos of each other pulling faces and kicking a rugby ball. I guess not all turned out ridiculous, like this photo of Sam is pretty amazing with the colour of her hair!!

But then there is ridiculous. When you're mid photo shoot and your'e just like "Tom catch me".

Hawera A&P Show

Christmas time brings so many fun events and things to do. Something we would always do as kids was compete in the local A&P shows in our area. One year it would be showing calves, the next lambs and the next competing our ponies, some years all three!

Hawera A&P was one of the shows we went to. During my last visit home Tom and I drove up to Hawera to see my sister compete and look at the side shows. I was mostly excited about the small animal tent, eating hot dogs and candy floss! Take a look.

Michael and Olivers 1st Birthday!

A few weekends back I attended Michael and Oliver's 1st birthday party. For anyone who reads my blog and who has been following their journey you must know how much of a big deal this was for me to be a part of! You can read the start of their journey here

The party theme was Sesame Street. Becci did such an amazing job planning and decorating! It was cool helping her get all set up and taking photos along the way.

Michael and Oliver loved hanging out with all their family and friends. Seeing balloons and opening presents for the first time was heaps of fun...

...but then the fun really began when we had our very own cake smash. What happens when you put a cake in front of two one year old boys?

Michael was wondering what's so funny?

Lucas 2016

During my trip to Auckland which I talked about previously I made a quick stop off in Pukekohe to visit my friend Libby and her son Lucas. Libby and I first met in intermediate. We then reconnected while I was studying through a mutual friend. I would drive up to Bulls or she would come down to Wellington and during this time we made lots of fun and mischievous memories that we still laugh about to this very day!

It's been awesome keeping in touch with Libby years on from those days and being a part of her new journey. Lucas is full of joy and adventure! We ran around the windy beach and went to the park on this visit. Take a look!
