Amazing D.I.Y. Wedding at Tawatawa Reserve - Cal and Carraldo

I feel like there have been so many highlights this wedding season and I'm so excited to share this one with you all! I was very lucky to be a part of Cal and Carraldo's amazing wedding as a second shooter for Jenny Siaosi

My day started off photographing Cal and the boys getting ready at Worser Bay, which we would come back to later on for the reception. We then all jumped into Cal's car (all 6 of us) and made our way to the top of Tawatawa Reserve in Owhiro Bay.

Getting married on top of a hill that has 360 views of Wellington with all your friends, family and pet dog sounds like a pretty good idea to me! Cal and Carraldo did exactly that. Whats even better is the fact that Cal walked to the top of this hill with all his guests and Carraldo arrived to the ceremony with her girls in a cute yellow truck. Amazing!

Cal and Carraldo did such an amazing job with decorating their reception hall at Worser Bay Boat Club (I think the zimmer frame was already there as part of the club but it added a quirky touch!).

There is a really cool story about all the different dinner plates. A family member collected these from different second hand shops around Wellington and guests were invited to take home their dinner plate that they ate off as a special keepsake. I've also got to mention how amazing all the food looked (and tasted!). So many amazing salads and a big shout out goes to the guys on the BBQ!

I'd like to end this post by just saying how much I enjoyed this day. This was everything a wedding should be, great company and good times! Congratulations to Cal and Carraldo and all the best for your happy future together.
