Waverley

Home Sweet Home

Tom and I recently celebrated three years together as a couple! Time fly's when you're working hard and having fun together! I often say "time is going so quickly" and Tom's response is "but think of the places we have been to and how much we have achieved".

To mark the occasion we put our gumboots on and went back my parents farm in Taranaki, the place I call home. It felt good not splashing out on an expensive meal and flash presents. At the end of the day it was just about being together.

It was also really good seeing my family. I don't get to go home as much as I would like to. We were only there for two days so we tried to make the most of it. Take a look at what we got up to...

Just call me a 'professional sheep photographer'. Dad's farm is dairy and beef but we always did pet lambs as children. These two we seem to be stuck with, even in their adult years they are too friendly to send away.. despite Dad's wishes.

I managed to convince/bribe my little brother into taking a photo with me and my sister. Take me back to being 7 years old when it was so hilarious to pull rabbit ears behind someones head. This is the best photo we got.

I look forward to having more adventures with Tom. You can read all about our second year anniversary trip to Golden Bay here.

Trip Home

I recently went home to Waverley spending a couple of days out and about on the farm while I looked after my little brother Ryan.

Ryan said he was board, so I told him that he should go pick flowers and stick them onto this piece of paper. The more flowers the better.. the best advice I could have given as his oldest sister.

We went to Waverley Beach. Ryan loves it there! Read about the last time we went. We used to go camping here when I was a child. These photos make me feel as if I am 5 years old, running bare feet in the sand again.

While I was back home it was also my friends Anna and Callum's barnyard themed 21st birthday party. It was my pleasure to take some photos of the event.

Waverley Beach

I'm currently visiting my family in Waverley, South Taranaki. This is where I grew up. There was a time in my life when I took this place for granted. Now I love coming back.

Waverley Beach reminds me of summer holidays that felt like they lasted forever. I remember exploring the cave beach, playing laser tag in the camping ground, water balloon fights, the tuck shop and all the people.

Things are a little different these days, but I like visiting and thinking of all the memories. We took my little brother there yesterday, he had lots of fun!
