Tom and I drove up to the farm to spend our third Christmas together. We woke up Christmas morning to overcast skies. It didn't bother us too much as it was just nice to be out of the city and to be at home with family. Ryan was so excited to open his presents! The rule is no presents until Dad is back from milking the cows and once he has eaten breakfast. We finally finished breakfast and the present opening began...
It took a whole 10 minutes to get through all the wrapped boxes under the tree. It seems a bit crazy to think of all the effort that goes into buying a gift for someone and then it takes 2 seconds to open it.
We then went out on the farm with Dad to feed the calves. This is what I enjoy the most about Christmas - spending time with my family. Here is a selfie I took on my phone with Stevie. She was Ryan's 2015 pet calf.
And then... the weather changed and there was no longer a cloud in sight! We took off to the beach. This is what my childhood memories are made of, blistering hot summers at Waverley Beach.
That evening we had a big family dinner. It fell like a typical kiwi xmas consisting of good company and way too much food and drink! We took some new family photos to mark the occasion!
Merry Christmas everyone! Heres to 2016..
